Our Breakfast menu changes with the seasons and reflects a deep respect for ingredients. Dishes lean both savory and sweet, built around fresh vegetables and fruits, as well as nuts, spices, and herbs that add depth and balance. French toast and crepes are layered with fruit and thoughtful garnishes. Or our spinach garlic scape omeletes with goat feta cheese and served with our homemade jams. Or the guests favorite, our version of Eggs Benedict is on the menu at least once a week. Plates are finished with herbs and edible flowers when in season, adding color and care to every presentation. We also have a gluten-free and vegan breakfast menu available.
Local sourcing guides the directions of our seasonal menus. Produce comes first from the inn’s own gardens and then from nearby farms, cooperative growers, and Farmers Markets in Trumansburg and Ithaca. Ingredients are chosen for freshness and flavor, with organic practices playing an important role. Regenerative farming practices are being used at some of these farms and they focus on restoring soil health by adding compost, no till, alternation crops and grazing animals on the fields. This method keeps the soils rich in minerals and the food that is harvested from them. Many fruits, vegetables and herbs are harvested from these fields and jams, pestos, and preserves are prepared every season.
Local & Intentionally Sourced for Wellness
Our breakfast sausage, chorizo, bacon, and ham come from Autumn’s Harvest Farm. Tim and Sara, have spent their lives developing their soils and they provide our meats. Lively Run Goat farm provides our feta cheese which is from many small local goat farmers. They have won awards for their cheeses.
Coffee is treated with the same intention. Gimme! Coffee is brewed using a French press and served fresh each morning. This Ithaca-based roaster works directly with farmers to ensure they are paid for their beans and values quality at every step, which mirrors the approach taken throughout our kitchen.
