We’re so lucky to live in this area! Not only is it beautiful, it offers a constant bounty of delicious wines and foods. In the weeks ahead, two of our noted Cayuga Lakes wineries, both just a short drive from the Inn at Gothic Eves, offer visitors wonderful opportunities to enjoy the fruits of the land while taking in the amazing views of the lake as they meander up Hwy 89.
Goose Watch Winery is uniquely nestled among groves of chestnut trees and once a year, the owners celebrate the tasty nut at their annual Chestnut Festival.

It will also be a great chance for visitors to enjoy a tour of the vineyard and stop in the tasting barn for samples of Goose Watch varietals. The winery take pride in producing wines that feature grapes not often found in our area, such as Viognier and Pinot Grigio. Visit Goose Watch Winery website for additional information.
In the same neighborhood, Knapp Winery and Vineyard is hosting a harvest Farm-to-Table dinner at their own Knapp Restaurant. The chef here works with local suppliers of fresh produce, meats and dairy—some from just across the street—to create a five-course menu that highlights fall flavors. The courses are perfectly paired with wines from Knapp Winery, Zugibe Vineyards and Glenora Wine Cellars.
