We know it’s only October, but it’s never too soon to plan for a Finger Lakes wine weekend during one of Seneca Lake Wine Trail’s Deck the Halls Weekends! Choose from November 22-24, 2013 or December 6-8, 2013 and get yourself into the Holiday Spirit!
For just $53 per person ($43 if you’re a designated driver), or $75 per couple ($65 if one of you is a non-tasting DD), you will receive a grapevine wreath, a recipe book, an ornament from each winery visited, and all the fun activities offered at 30 wineries on the trail.
And what goes on at the wineries? Food and wine pairings (check your recipe book to learn how to make many of the dishes served), music, tours, and more might just be available at each location.
As for the food… you can surely look forward to some fall/winter favorites to warm your belly and keep you full! Smoked ham, roasted turkey, pork, delicious soups (featuring the seasonal flavors of pumpkin, butternut squash, potato & leek, and many more), all manner of seasonal sweets, and so much more.
Like other wine trail events, you’ll report to your selected winery to receive your wreath and recipe book, and then it’s completely up to you which wineries you visit. Make a complete, linear loop, or hop and skip as you see fit.
Tickets are available online. Tickets are limited, so reserve yours quickly. As luck would have it, there are currently plenty of tickets starting at wineries close to Trumansburg!
Hours of the event are from 1pm -5pm on Fridays, and 10am to 5pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Your weekend ticket will work for all three days, meaning that you can easily plan a long-weekend visit for the Deck The Halls event.
With 30 wineries to potentially visit, you may just want to plan for BOTH weekends! Rooms are still available at The Inn at Gothic Eves – let us host you during this fun annual event. And don’t forget our hot tub option before bed: the perfect way to relax after a day of driving/sightseeing. We’ll keep your room warm and the porch light on for you!
The Inn at Gothic Eves asks that you consider a designated driver during this event. While samples are small, they can add up quickly… and we’d rather see you back at the Inn safely!
