Planning an early June visit to the Inn at Gothic Eves? If so, you’re in for a treat, as the Seneca Lake Wine Trail is sponsoring two great events, just in time for summer!
June 1-2, 2013: Seneca Lake Wine and Food
Watkins Glen’s Clute Park from 11am-5pm each day
Featuring the best wine and food from the Seneca Lake region! More than 27 wineries will be in attendance offering the best drinks from the vine, and 15 food vendors will share some of the best local eats! Cooking demonstrations will instruct you on how to take the flavors of the Finger Lakes home with you, and live music will entertain all weekend.
A limited amount of tickets are available both online, and by calling 607-546-6767. Check out their Facebook page for coupon codes! Limited onsite parking is available for $8 per vehicle, and offsite parking with free shuttle service is available.
June 7-8-9, 2013: Smokin’ Summer Kickoff
Seneca Lake Wine Trail member wineries
The newest wine/food-pairing event for the trail celebrating summer at the wineries! Seasonal foods (think grilling favorites and other summertime favorites) are paired with the perfect regional wines for a one-of-a-kind tasting experience.
Like other wine trail events, you do need to purchase tickets to be eligible for the tastings at each stop on the trail. A wine-tasting ticket is $35 per person, and designated drivers pay just $25 (with non-alcoholic drink choices at each stop) – tickets are picked up AT your starting winery.
A limited number of tickets are available for purchase at each “Starting” winery. Nearby starting points that still have plenty of tickets available include Chateau LaFayette in Hector, Leidenfrost Vineyards in Hector, Penguin Bay Winery in Hector, Tickle Hill Winery in Hector, and Caywood Vineyards in Caywood.
Curious about the foods that will be offered? Check out the preview recipes for dishes that will be featured at each winery!
Of course, there is also the Olde-Tyme Rhubarb Festival and Classic Car Cruise-In happening on June 1, 2013 at the Montezuma Winery to consider as well! Other wineries from the Cayuga Wine Trail also have individual events throughout June, so no matter when you visit, there is always fun to be had at any of our area wineries!
